Mellott 36" Rosserhead medium duty debarkers are offered as hydro-electric, air-electric and total hydraulic versions. The Mellott debarker features a vertical track for the carriage which eliminates log hang up when logs are kicked off the debarker. This vertical track also permits the overall width of the debarker to be kept to a minimum.
The speed of the bullwheel and carriage drives can be varied so that the operator can control rotation of the log and carriage travel to the bullwheels.
A large hydraulic motor with roller chain drive to the bullwheels, eliminates a gear box usually found on competitive drives.
Head down pressure can be varied so that correct cutting is obtained for various species.
Starters are included for the cutterhead drive and the electric and/or hydraulic motors along with the hydraulic power source. The debarkers are prewired and tested at the factory and all air or hydraulic lines are installed.
The hydro-electric version has all the air controls removed and replaced with hydraulic controls and the hydraulic version has all electric replaced with hydraulic components.
